This Page is for those of you who were not compliant with your Cpap machine.
In order to be compliant you must use your machine 70% of the time and at least 4 hours per night.
Here is what our Guidance says:
C. If a driver fails to meet compliance standards, the CME may provide a 30-day certification to allow the driver to produce 30 days of consecutive PAP use data that meets the minimum compliance standard.
- After the driver demonstrates compliance with 30 days of PAP use data, the CME may issue a 60-day certification, from the date of the initial exam, to allow the driver to produce 60 days of consecutive PAP use data that meets the minimum compliance standard.
- After the driver demonstrates compliance with 60 days of PAP use data, the CME may issue a 90-day certification, from the date of the initial exam, to allow the driver to produce 90 days of consecutive PAP use data that meets the minimum compliance standard.
- After the driver demonstrates compliance with 90 days of PAP use data, the CME may issue a 1-year certification from the date of the initial exam.
- If the driver cannot produce 30 days of consecutive PAP use data, the driver must be disqualified and cannot be re-certified until he or she is able to provide 30 days of compliant PAP use data.
The Fee for each new certification is $25. So your total would be $75
If your health changes during this time (ie. you are diagnosed with a new disease, or you have a new injury) we would need to perform a New DOT Physical and the fee for that is $105.
